Bummer :(

So the last few days have been a bit of a let down :( For the Fourth of July I had planned on taking Rori to her first fireworks show. I researched online and found two shows near where Scott lives. I picked the closer of the two and we headed over to see how she would handle them. Unfortunately when we arrived nobody was there. Turns out the three different newspaper articles I found were mistaken...the fireworks in Murrieta were the week before the fourth (GRRRRRR! Never trust the media!) So we jumped in the car and headed for the other show. We could see it from the freeway and were getting really close, then it ended. Rori fell asleep on the way there and didn't see any of it. I am way disappointed but comfort myself that next time we go see Scott we'll just have to go and check out the Disney fireworks that they have like every night.

I also realized on the fourth that I could not find my wallet. I still did not find it and ended up having to fly home without ID...this I do not recommend! I was feeling all bad for myself that I had no wallet and was traveling alone when I noticed a woman with a two year old and what looked like alot of bags. On closer inspection I realized that she only had one bag...and a 9 week old baby in a sling! She was also traveling alone. I felt much better about my situation. Once we boarded the plane they informed us we could not take off till the fixed something, it would take an hour! Rori had just gone to sleep and I was annoyed since she would have slept through the whole flight if we had left on time. Then I realized the woman was behind me and had to entertain a two year old for an extra hour while keeping a new born happy. I again felt much better about my situation. I ended up getting to hold her little one for a while which was so fun! I appreciate this woman so much, she had a great attitude and was just what I needed to remind me to count my blessings.

On a positive note, Sunday we went to the beach and Rori had a ball. I will post pictures later once I get the chance to upload them.
